Before: How Should I Prepare For My Massage?

We recommend that you dress comfortably and take no aspirin, pain killers, or alcohol on the day of your appointment.  To receive bodywork, you may dress down to your comfort level; however, the more clothing you keep on, the less soft tissue we will be able to affect.

For first-time visitors, we kindly ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes early for your first appointment in order to fill out a mandatory intake form.  When filling out this form, keep in mind any questions or concerns you’d like your therapist to be aware of, and be sure to include them on your form.

During: What Can I Expect During My Session at BodySense?

At BodySense, we are committed to providing you with the professional, relaxing, and healing experience that you deserve.  Here are some of the things you can expect from us:

  • A sensory, soothing environment that relaxes the entire being.  Every aspect of our facility – from the staff, to the décor, to the musical selections and eclectic artwork – has been carefully handpicked to preserve the positive energy of our space.
  • Intelligent, compassionate therapists who are trained and licensed experts in the science of massage.
  • Highly personalized service.  During your treatment, our touch can be as light or as deep as you feel is necessary.  We can focus on specific areas of discomfort or do a full body massage, which includes your back, legs, arms, and neck.  Always remember to speak up!  Don’t hesitate to tell your therapist if the pressure needs to be adjusted, or if more time is needed at a specific area of discomfort.
  • A sheet and blanket are always provided to respect your modesty and maintain professionalism.
  • Water and the restroom are available at all times during your session.
  • A 100% satisfaction guarantee.  If you are not completely satisfied with your experience, tell us why and we will gladly refund your purchase.  Your happiness and health are of the utmost importance to us!

After: What Can I Expect After My Massage?

After your session, things might feel a little strange – but don’t worry, it’s completely normal!  You may feel slightly spacey, “fluffy,” or lightheaded, but again, it’s completely normal.  Give yourself 5 to 15 minutes to relax, recover, and wake up.  Take a seat in our waiting area, sip some water or herbal tea, and savor the blissful moment.

In addition to a profound sense of serenity, renewed energy, and an alleviation of pain, discomfort, and other difficult symptoms, you may experience a little of soreness after your massage, so be sure to drink plenty of water over the next day or two.
