Massage is a powerful tool for healing all elements of the human being: mind, body, and spirit alike.  At BodySense Massage, we strive to call attention not only to the relaxation benefits of massage therapy, but also to the enormous mental, physical and emotional healing power that this ancient touch therapy provides.

Deep Tissue Massage (30, 60, 90 minutes) – Increased pressure and selected deep-tissue techniques are used to loosen the underlying muscle layers. Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage (30, 60, 90 minutes) – This light, relaxing technique promotes the healthy flow of ‘lymph,’ the clear fluid that flows throughout our bodies.  Any imbalances or blockages in the lymphatic system, that which underlies our immunity, are located; and a healthy flow is reestablished for moving toxins out of the body.  Lymphatic therapy aids in detoxification, boosts the immune system, relieves sinus issues, inflammation, and bodily pain, and promotes deep relaxation.

Hot Stone Massage (90 minutes) – During a Hot Stone Massage, heated basalt stones of varying sizes are placed over key points on the body, promoting a deep massage and creating sensations of comfort and warmth.  The direct heat relaxes the muscles, allowing for manipulation of a greater intensity than with regular massage.

The hot stones expand the blood vessels, which push blood and waste through the nervous system and give the body a sedative effect.  Hot Stone Massage is a deeply healing technique, and one that reconnects us with the natural flow of energy while bringing us closer to our true essences.

Thai Massage (90 minutes) – Also known as “yoga massage,” Thai massage is a sacred form of bodywork originating and still widely practiced in Thailand today.  Similar to yoga, sessions take place fully clothed on a comfortable floor mat and consist of deep massage and stretching movements.  The therapist uses her hands, elbows, knees, feet, and legs to move the client into a series of yoga stretches while applying firm and rhythmic pressure.  Thai massage is an excellent way to stretch the entire body, while releasing tight joints and increasing range of motion.  It improves circulation and reduces stress, while leaving the client feeling relaxed, centered, and acutely energized.

90 minutes . . . $110.00

Pregnancy Massage (30, 60, 90 minutes) – Pregnancy massage, or pre-natal massage, is designed exclusively for expectant mothers.  The light, relaxing technique will pamper a mother-to-be and help relieve tension in specific areas.  Pregnancy massage is especially useful in relieving muscle spasms and cramps, promoting relaxation (key to easy labor and delivery), enhancing the gestation process, and reducing stress in the weight-bearing joints and bone structures.

Please Note: It is strongly recommended that pregnant clients in their 1st trimester seek the advice of their physician before receiving pregnancy massage.
